Keynote: Environmental education otherwise (Toisin tehty ympäristökasvatus) – 9.6. 12.30 (EN)
Professor of Environmental Education Kirsi Pauliina Kallio from Tampere University is a multidisciplinary researcher who often comes up with absurd questions. By posing them to other researchers, stakeholders, professionals, students, and other people, she has learned to find answers in surprising places.
Environmental education can take place anywhere everyday life unfolds—not only indoors or in nature, but also in urban spaces, cultural settings, and various semi‑public places. By learning to find environmental issues in unexpected locations, we can approach the ecological crisis as human‑sized questions. The goal is not so much to solve the world as to learn to live in it while respecting all forms of life.

Program pathways
The programme paths provide more detailed information about parallel workshops, roundtable discussions and speaking tours. The paths help you create your own programme. You can also deviate from the paths. You can choose a maximum of one programme from each time slot (A–F).
Places in parallel programmes are reserved in the event app, which you will receive a link to once you have registered for the event. The event app also contains more detailed descriptions of the programmes and their target groups. Places in the individual programmes are limited and will be filled in order of registration. Everyone can participate in the lectures and evening programme. There is a lot to choose from, so you can pick exactly what you need from the programme – and leave room for relaxation if you want.
The letter in front of the programme indicates its length. AB and EF are 3 hours long, and the others are 1.5 hours long. Changes to the schedule are still possible and even likely at this stage.
